The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, (POCSO) provides a legal framework for protecting children from sexual offenses. The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006, and the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986, also play a crucial role in child protection. NHRCCB Child Rights Protection Cell aims to promote child rights and other activities related to child rights and welfare across the nation in support of NHRCCB Volunteer/ Member/ Officer.
For the implementation different laws related to child rights as per Indian Constitution, NHRCCB established a separate Constituent unit or cell named “NHRCCB Child Rights Protection Cell ” managing committee.
