NHRCCB RTI CELL

The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, a crucial piece of legislation in India, codifies the right to information as a fundamental right under Article 19(1)(a) of the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech and expression. This right allows citizens to access information held by public authorities, promoting transparency and accountability in government.

NHRCCB is dedicated to implement The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 and play a crucial role in the Right to Information (RTI) by promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen empowerment. NHRCCB act as a bridge between the public and government, helping individuals understand and utilize the RTI Act to access information, monitor public service delivery, and hold officials accountable. NHRCCB also raise awareness about RTI and its importance, encouraging citizen participation in governance.

NHRCCB RTI Cell aims to promote Right to Information and other related activities related to Right to Information across the nation in support of NHRCCB Volunteer/ Member/ Officer.

For the implementation of Right to Information Act, NHRCCB established a separate Constituent unit or cell named “ NHRCCB RTI Cell ” with independent managing committee.
